my workout is m-f, 15 mins of cardio followed by 30mins of weights for specified body part.
Friday is my leg day, normally i take sat and sun off and do no workout, i'm really in the mood to do some cardio today (saturday). Is this a bad idea since i just did my leg lifting yesterday and havn't had a full day of rest? or is cardio acceptable any day regardless of weights lifted?

It's fine. Get after it. If anything, it might help you recover.

some people do light pump sets after leg day to speed up recovery.

Just do it. LSD pace is good for recovery. 60-65% of HRmax or a "guilt-inducingly slow" pace for 20-60 minutes depending on your goals.

You could start out with 20-30 minutes cardio, then a couple of light pump sets for whatever's sore, then 20-30 minutes cardio again, PWO nutrition, stretch, shower, etc.

I'm a bit catabolysis-paranoid when it comes to steady-state cardio so I'll have some watered down whey protein before and mid-way during longer (30+ minutes) cardio sessions.
