So, you should have some carbs after your workout, and I usually have these in the form of a PWO shake and fruit, but I am wondering if the timing is bad, for me, at least. Since I lift at nights (anywhere from 7,8 to 11), and I should be eating carbs after workouts, doesn't this conflict with people saying that you should not eat carbs before bed (12-1am, just fats/protein)?

Your fine, you definately need carbs right after workout to restore your muscles' glycogen reserves. Also, its crucial for protein synthasis. Just remember, most fruit have little impact on your insulin levles, therefore they arnt an ideal source of post workout carbs. Instead I suggest some form of bread, pasta, or maybe even a sugary drink such as gatorade.
