So I was wondering.. I know it is better to do this for breakfast and such..
but I heard you always want to eat within 45 minutes of working out..(I found this out AFTER i passed out at the gym HAHAHA) but are you supposed to eat more carbs at that time too?..

I mean a normal meal for breakfast would consist of:
banana or quaker oats (1/2 cup oats with 1 cup skim milk) with frozen berries.. but that is usually when I do not have a banana
8oz cup of coffee with skim milk
2 pieces of 100% whole wheat toast
    1 activia yogurt

Then three hours later I will have like a healthy pop mini bag or something.. or carrots .. depending..

but 45 mins before a work out what is some better food choices to eat? More fiber? more carbs? Not entirely too sure. My workouts are in evening 645pm-7pm-ish..

Any help or input would be appreciated..:wiggle:

There are differing views on that. Some say that you should get a high-GI carb just before working out to get some glucose flowing in the blood.
Some other suggest that by talking a sugar that makes blood sugar raise, there will be a insulin release that will make blood sugar levels drop (which is called secondary hypoglycemia or something like that).

Cliff : do whatever works for you, not what scientists tell you to do.

    We should sticky this :

    1) Stop doing what isn't working and try something else.
    2) Do more of what's working.

Werd, Your eating nothing but carbohydrates. You need to get 8oz of meat in w/ your meals son and your "snacks" should be a protein shake/bar, not fucking carrots and shit.

    Pay attention.:mamoru:

You really should aim to have some protein in almost every meal.

    ahh, makes sense.

Try and eat 5-6 oz of lean meat (boneless, skinless, chicken breast/ground turkey/top round steak) for your 3 main courses. 25g of carbs w each meal (1/2 oats) and lots of veggies. For your snacks try a protein shake with a scoop of whey. 5-6 meals per day.

The protein will help you gain lean muscle mass, low carbs will help you loose fat. Carbs and sugar are thy enemy. Do your Cardio.

like today.. i had banana, 2 pieces of wheat toast, activia yogurt 4 breakfast
snack/lunch healthy pop mini bag and some of last nights ground turkey in a flat out 100% wheat wrap thing.. it was tiny.. i will probably have another wrap thing in a few hours..

Wraps are fine and a protein shake is a much better alternative to the 100 calorie pack/snack things that girls usually think are good idea on a diet. Try to keep your carbs real low and protein high. I dont know what activia yogurt or pop min bags are but try and follow the basic diet plan I laid out. It works trust me.

Then eat it, wont kill you. If you want to try what I suggested, then great. If not, good luck. My work here is done.
