okay, ive been driving the beater civic around for long enough. The important thing is, i am 17, and i cannot be driving a sports car, insurance is incredibly high here. im going to buy a different car. Here are my 3 choices i am considering:
1988-1992 Lincoln MarkVII- For these years, Lincoln borrowed fords 5.0 liter V8 engine for the MarkVII's. They also take most mustang internal mods etc. However, they are fugly cars.

1986 Buick Regal- I have been told these cars have potential, and ive been told i probably would not have to pay as much insurance as I would a GN? Plus the GN's are ~8g's more.

1986-1988 Chevy Monte Carlo- Very nice car, should be able to hold its own against my cousins 96 Impala SS..

okay, which one should i get, why? or what other suggestions you have?

  6. No, I actually really like old school Lincoln's.

My friend's dad's Mark VIII is a great highway cruiser.

keep the civic and save the money on college so you can buy a decent car in 4-5 years instead of trading 1 shitty one for 1 semi-shitty one.

and honestly for the price of the cars you are considering you could probably find a 1g dsm in decent condition and it'll be faster and more reliable.

Having owned both a 305 v8 Monte Carlo and a DSM trust me the DSM will be more reliable.

the five liter ford engine is tough as nails, the a.o.d transmissions are not. The trans is also expensive to repair. The mark 8, lsc are cool rides. The v-6 buicks have oil pumps in the timing chain covers, bad news! The monte's around here bring top dollar they are mostly rolling on 20 inch spokes! bling bling!!

the Mark VII is a nice car...but like mentioned above it has the AOD trans that isnt that great, and it also has 4-wheel air suspension, that in as old of cars as they are, normally is leaking or has problems(and will cost you 500 bucks a piece in parts to replace). Not sure if you can use t-bird parts to convert it to regular suspension, since it is loosly based on the t-bird.
