Whats your thoughts, I didnt take them....a guy on another site I am part of shot it with a XT, and he says that he usually shoots with a 1D and scheduled this shot and decided to shoot with his XT instead because its lighter.......now the thinks his shots are going to be in Import Tuner....

i don't see why you would need a 1d for those shots anyway

1 and 3 are pretty good. the use of a flash in 2 creates what i find to be an awkward mix of white balances.

Not that impressive. Dark, incomplete lighting, formulaic compositions that have been done about 11ty billion times, uninspired location, and it looks like it was composed and shot in about 5 minutes.

Out of curiosity did the guy actually HAVE a 1D with him? Sounds like bs to shoot with an XT because it's lighter.

And, could the borders be any bigger?

Doesn't look like he used a flash, it looks like mixed artificial light, probably flourescent and tungsten, with a custom WB.

Why would it be BS if the guy uses a 350D instead of a 1D? I use my 350D and 20D every once in awhile when I don't feel like lugging around the 1D MKII.

Nothing wrong with keeping it simple.

Third shot could've been better if the car was positioned back a few feet to allow better lighting on the wheels.

Mainly because Low light + XT focus system = :ugh:

But for this shoot, the spot metering would have been useful as well as the larger/brighter viewfinder. All I shoot is stuff like this and given the choice of a 1D or an XT in this situation I'd take the 1D every time.

I use the external flash to help with the AF system regardless of which body I use.

    #3 is a good picture.

#1 ... sucks about the license plate and sticker. Otherwise I'd really like it.

Other than the first picture just looking cool, I don't think they're all that impressive. Terrible lighting is my major complaint.
