I just bought new iPod connector for my 01 highlander off of ipodcarparts.com

I dont know anything about car audio, or cars in general and I want this shit installed...should I do it myself or can I go to a car audio store and pay one of the guys to install it for me?

Do you know how to take your dash apart? No? Pay someone who does.

pretty much. decide where you want everything first, then let the salesman know, or have him bring an installer out to your car to show them what you'd like to have. THEN LISTEN TO THEM IF THEY TELL YOU IT WON'T WORK THERE OR THAT THEY MAY HAVE A BETTER IDEA. THEY DO THIS FOR A LIVING, YOU DON'T. Don't be offended if they can't put it exactly where you want the thing, they don't think your idea is stupid (and if they do, they'll just wait to get back inside to talk about you in the bay or something :mamoru: )

It doesn't seem like a difficult dash to disassemble. Make sure you find something very rigid and flat, preferrably soft so it doesn't bend or damage the bezel (huge plastic ring around the cars controls).

This is lifted from some PDF on how-to.

its easy as shit. take off the trim. remove 6 bolts and 10 screws then run the ipod connector to your glove box.

they wanted 30 to put mine in on my alpine deck when i paid to have the deck installed and to run it into my glove compartment on a civic, so i told them i'll do it myself and it litterally took me all of 2 minutes at the most so i depending on what kind of set-up your using for stereo it should be cake
