So from what i was told, i need a good monoblock amp and two 10 or 12" subs. How much power should i look for in the amp and subs? And should i look at the 2ohms or 4ohms rating?

your question is really way too vague. You should tell us how much money you got to spend, what car you have, and what music you listen to, then i'll be happy to help you find something really good. Also how much trunk space you are willing to sacrifice

Find one or the other first...either the amp or the subs, and you can go from there. It's easier to match subs to an amp than the other way around...

the alums are decent. other than that i wouldnt touch any audiobahn. For 200 though i would go for an RE SX. It would cost more, but be worth it.
