I'm looking at getting a dvd player/screen for my 97 Miata. I don't know much about the screens for cars so I really don't know what one to get. I'm debating over getting a DVD player/screen or just getting a screen and connecting my PS2 in the car! I was just hoping that you guys could suggest something worthwhile.

imo, it's the best bang for the buck... we've sold quite a few.

iirc pioneer doesnt sell the standalone nav unit anymore. something about a chemical used in it is illegal now or too expensive to use yada yada.

just get an avicn3. price has dropped recently as they have announced the avicn4.

newer version is coming out/is out. so price will drop on avicn3.

itll still be cheaper then buying the monitor above and adding the nav to it, if you can even find the disco pioneer standalone nav.

I'm not really that big into Navagation, but I was just asking how much for the brain cause, I'm more into the DVD function anyway!

now im confused. if you just want dvd playback, the unit from crutchfield posted above will accomplish that. the outboard nav, which is no longer avail, only plays dvd nav discs.

just by the unit up top. good price from an authorized dealer.
