speakers. I need 2 sets of 5x7/6x8s for my Mercury Mountaineer. Trying not to spend a million $$$, but i want it to sound good. I do not plan on amping them, but you never know. These are some of the options i have been looking into, please give some input

    Alpine Type-R
    Boston S85
    MB Quart DCD 157s
    Memphis M-Class
    Polk MOMOs

Or should i just get some regular Polk DBs or some Alpine Type-S and get some other junk. Any opinons wanted. I do not plan on competing at all. I already have a OEM 8" sub, that i might replace with aftermarket. I was also thinking of goin Type-R in front & Type S in the rear or etc.

the boston's, or the alpine type-r's in front... also i would not worry about the rears, unless you have people in the back more than not.

I've always liked POLK, but you can't pump a lot of power to them.

yes, you can probably fit a 6.5 component in the spot of the original speaker.

Yeah, i actually got a set of adaptors to fit a 6 1/2, and it was crap. I didn't pay a ton for it, but i would not put it in my vehicle.
