got in a car accident last week, broken elbow + concussion. Now i'm mad because im slowly gaining bf% back because I havn't ran, or lifted. I know I can't lift, but I'm not sure if I can run. Any ideas on how to lose bf% injured? I'm not going to let some ass hitting me at 50 mph stop me from cutting/bulking.

it might be best to take it easy for a while, it's more important that you heal from the accident before you worry about lifting again.

Very light lifting or cardio might nto hurt, but don't overdo it.

I can do ab workouts, but i'm not sure what I can lift with one arm, and even if I could I'd only be working one side of my body :ugh: . I wonder if running a mile every day & abs at night would be enough?

its better then nothing. At least that will keep you from gaining fat. Might not be able to lose fat but at least wont gain it. Just do as much as you can and you should be fine.

grab a dip belt and do weighted one leg squats. It'll have more resistance than you can handle.

while you're at it, hit the quads and calves. It'll probably be hard to hit the hams with just one arm but i'm sure you can do it on some machine without too much trouble.

ride the stationary bike... do spurts... 2 mins hard riding, 1 min easy riding, 2 mins hard riding, 1 min easy riding... great cardio workout.

    :)

Scale back your nutrition to maintenance levels and hit the cardio. I'm just getting over a broken hand, and all I could do was cardio. According to the doc, the cardio will also help to speed your recovery.

You might want to stick to non-impact cardio such as ellipticals since the bouncing from running may hurt your elbow and possibly your head. Good luck, dude!
