captureing computer desktop in video

    so i have seen it done before, but i tried two programs (snagit and one other) and they both were really bad, snagit made the video fine but when i tried to play it , the video file it froze my computer (the file was only 10mb)

    i need the video to be AVI and the prog to be free

    If what you want is what I'm thinking, try Hypercam. if you haven't already. It's shareware - it'll put a very small logo in upper lefthand corner if you don't pay.
