Has anyone here made one of these? My wireless range is sht and i need to boost it up a bit. Also, is there anyway to connect one of these to a desktop pc? The links I have seen only show how to connect it to laptops. Thanks

i've made a couple before... fun concept, but really not very reliable. Hawking makes excellent antennas that signifigantly boost signal strength and subsequently increase usable range. Very decent price tag, too.

I have made a few and they worked decently. Only problem is that it can be ver uni-directional. You should be able to hook them up to any Desktop adapter as well as long as you can get to the external antennae connector.

But yeah, for reliability, piece a custom amplified antenna together using good parts, not a left over pringles can from the trash...
