Can't workout unless I take loads of caffeine, any ideas?

    I seriously need 3 tbsp of coffee about 30 minutes before hitting the gym or I just can't be bothered. I've tried caffeine tablets and taking about 200mg before working out but don't get as nearly as efficient energy levels compared to downing really strong coffee.

    It's pretty annoying having the strong taste of black coffee during excersise, but I've tried loads of other combinations but this seems to be the most effective.

    What other ways can I get energy for the gym? My protein and carb levels are already pretty high get loads of healthy omega-3 fat and vitamins, I'm taking creatine right now but nothing really sport enhancing outside of loads of caffeine

    Force yourself into it. I'm in the same boat, had to pound a redbull yesterday to get the motivation to workout.

    Go to a wal-mart and look at the energy drinks, I picked up a 4-pack of some brand for $1/can, the equivalent cost and caffeine content of a coffee.

    maybe you need to stop taking caffeine.

    take a week off everything sleep until next week and start over
