    edit: Fixed

When I go to Tools -> Folder options -> Show hidden files -> Apply\OK, nothing happens. It stays on the Do not show hidden when I click it again. And it doesn't show the hidden files. Anyone get this before?

well, going by your other thread, you have something fucked up going on with your PC. there is a good chance that you have a virus or some sort of spyware that is screwing you up.

So what's a good non-resource-consuming free anti-spyware program? I already have AVG for viruses

ad-aware is good and the free one doesn't run all the time. so, it consumes very little resources.

I love fixing these problems manually though. It's more rewarding and you learn something new every time.

I was able to fix it by regedit

key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced. Find the value "Hidden" . Modify it to 1.
