Can't seem to get sore...

  1. I can't seem to be sore the next day after I work out which is upsetting me because I feel like I'm not doing a good enough workout.

I do the usual work out (bench, decline, incline, tricept extention on machine, bicept curl bar, curls, isolated curls, pullups, lat pull down, dead lift etc), but I never feel sore the next day ( unless I do legs).

Any tips, or do you need more info from my workout?

Thanks ahead of time. Sorry if this is a n00b question.

Werd. Try some new exercises too (and ditch the triceps extension machine).
Try skullcrushers or decline triceps extensions, elbows-in wide-grip preacher curl and do a superset maybe, some rope lat pulldowns or seated rope rowing with a bent forward trunk, etc.

i still lift hard and change it up but after several years of lifting, one does not get too sore anymore

it's a good thing cos it would interfere with my volleyball and basketball nights

increase the weight and lower the number of reps

oh, and #soreness# neq "good workout"

  9. I will try that since I normally do like 3 sets of 10 or 4 sets of 12, 10, 8, 6, then maybe 12 again.

If I start with 135 and rep it 10 times how much more weight should I add, and how many reps should I do?

P.s. I live in MD too.

try doing 5 sets of 5 reps with the same weight you are using and see how it feels.

if you need to just bump it up 5lbs at a time until you are maxing out on your 5th set of 5 reps.

also don't over-train a muscle group just to be sore the next day :bigthumb:

I find it hard to get my back sore (not lower) eventhough, I work my back out the hardest. Next week I think Im going to change the sets around, the main reason I dont go up in weight is because my hads get torn up (most of the equipment is new and almost unsused).

  19. I said when I do legs they are sore...

Also yeah for the most part I do the same thiing every time but I have been changing that lately because thats not good.

19 years old btw, weigh anywhere from 157-161. Should I take before and after pics, I've been lifting for a few months.
