cant reset my sql password

    i am following directions from here

    everything works fine till i get to this

    Code:
    C:\Apache\mysql\bin>mysqladmin -u root -p shutdown
    Enter password: ******
    mysqladmin: connect to server at 'localhost' failed
    error: 'Access denied for user: [email protected]' (Using password: YES)'

    I think you are support to type this command:

    Code:
    C:\Apache\mysql\bin> -u root flush-privileges password "newpwd"
    
    Followed by:

    Code:
    C:\Apache\mysql\bin> -u root -p shutdown
    
    Where "newpwd" is your new password.

    yea i just fixed it with mysql-front though
