I'm trying to play a shop bought DVD on my PC but it won't play.

It's an original DVD. Windows media player would'nt play it and neither would VLC media player. I tried in in both my CDRW drive and the DVD ROM drive with no luck.

Anyone know how I can get it to play?

I want to be able to take screen captures and also be able to capture the film into movie editing packages (Adobe premiere Pro).

    Many thanks ofr any help!!

What version of WMP do you have? IIRC, WMP 10 does not support DVD playback. You'll probably need a program like WinDVD or CyberDVD to play them on your PC.

And BTW, your CDRW drive cannot play DVD's, only a DVD-ROM or writer.
