Anyone know what could cause me to keep getting this error when i try to access my FTP thru IE6??

"Windows cannot access this folder. Make sure you typed the file name correctly and that you have permission to access the folder.

Details: The server name and address could not be resolved."

It worked fine up until a few days ago then all of a sudden this

dont use a web browser when you want to access ftp.

like using a pair of golf clubs to take dishes out of the dishwasher.

I agree i love that program. However for some reason i cant connect to one of my servers with it and its pissing me off. I can get logged in but when it does the initial LS it freaks out :squint:. My old ass WSFTP pro and ftp client for DOS are fine though :dunno:

and the help is not very helpfull
    Code:
    help/message %TCPIP-I-FTP_CHINFO

    FTP_CHINFO, 'process'
      Facility: TCPIP, FTP Server
Explanation: FTP host message. This message is displayed when an error
                    occurs in a child process.
User Action: Verify the associated error message.

Sounds like the FTP server just isn't responding fast enough for filezilla

After much reading, i downloaded the new filezilla beta 3.

The Beta 3 version now supports version numbers and VMS style directory listings. I just had to specified my server type as VMS and everything works great.

Im pretty sure no one here uses VMS, but if you do, the new beta 3 version seems to include tons of support for VMS.
