My usual routine for bicep workout, I usually try to add weight after each set. Approximately 2.5 - 5lbs on each side. However, I can't finish all the reps (10). My question is even if I do 6 reps, am I still "working out" my muscles or I should just stick to the weight I can do and do all 10 reps.

you're doing fine with 6 reps. many people work a routine allowing them to increasee weight and lower reps.

there is nothing wrong with direct arm work. they dont seem to bust on triceps as much since it isnt as popular as the almighty bicep! people here just like to hate on the beach muscles or anything that doesnt involve legs, squats or deadlifts. CAUSE OT F&N IS SO FUCKING HARDCORE, NON STOP ANIMAL PAKS FLOWIN UP IN THIS BEYOTCH. BRB I GOTTA PUKE!!!!

fuck that shit... if you can't grow your bi's with heavy back work, you're doing something wrong. direct bicep work should be done for injury prevention. my bi's never grow with direct work - it takes heavy ass rows to put size on em.

I do 15 reps, 12, 10, and 6 adjusting the weight so that I fail on the last rep of each set.

So for the guys that suggest doing other workouts to make the biceps bigger - what do you suggest? Looks like a noob on this - bc I've been doing only direct bicep workouts all the time.

I have a "friend" who works out semi regularly... he always misses his workouts with me so I stopped inviting him. he has at least two bicep+cardio days a week :hsugh: and every time I talk to him "yesterday" was his leg day

He's been working out a year had has like nothing to show for it.

    wald -
heavy back work is the key. lots of heavy ass rows and pulldown type movements. if you put in a killer back workout, you shouldn't need more then a couple sets of a direct bicep exercise.

does this mean you dont need direct tricep work either if you hit chest day heavy?

I dunno guys, I do lots of back work, and my back is the ebst part of me, and i do little arm work. Lately ive been noticing my arms are getting kinda small for my body so im thinking direct arm work def aint bad, if you need it, but if you dont need it, then fuck it.

I do a few sets of direct bi work twice a week to keep my elbows healthy.
