of equal amount of storage and performance (30MB/s read and 21MB/s write)? Lexar's Online store has the 8GB out of stock.

The last time I looked, the Corsair Flash Voyager GT was the fastest thumb drive you could buy.

They're expensive though, but there was an 8gb model when I last looked.

    It was rated at 34mb/27mb

I have the 4gb version. Very fast.

    Edit*

I just looked this up again, and it seems they went from SLC chips to slower MLC chips.
Apparently the SLC chips are no longer available. So I don't know how fast the MLC versions are,
but the 16gb is around $100 right now.

I've had the 16 gb for awhile now. Storage capacity is good( i could use more, 32 gb is out), but I wish it could write faster. But it's really not that big of a deal. I'm usually transferring 700 mb files so maybe I'm being impatient.
