Can't eat

    I'm on my 3rd week of bulking, and I can't seem to get myself to eat more then 2400-2500 calories a day. I get 5 healthy meals in each day. Throughout the day I feel as though I am so full. I can't physically jam any more food down me. :wtc:

    Any thoughts?

    Drink shakes, they're less filling or man up and do what it takes to get to your goals. It's not like it's hard to eat : put food in mouth, masticate, swallow.

    Eat nuts and cheese, they're both really calorically dense and have decent amounts of protein in them.

    Hmmm... I might try that. Any reccomendations on what types of nuts are better?

    :werd: It's pretty easy to make a 1k cal shake; do this 2x a day and you are half there. Between that and other foods that are fatty+protein- cheese, cashews, whole wheat pasta (cheese sauce with tuna + peas in it = :yum: ), you shouldn't have too many problems hitting your goals.

    Having done that for 6 months straight- and I mean dirty, 2 Grilled stuffed burritos and a quart of milk for lunch, 5k+/day dirty- I can say that unless you are simply going for overall mass or have awesome genes or a very active lifestyle, don't do it. I did put on 40lbs in that time, but also a fair bit more fat than I wanted (from ~12%- ~19%); however my lifts went up tremendously, and 20ish% bf really isnt anything bad. Over the summer I cleaned up, dropped around 500cals a day and started doing strongman and conditioning training, and the fat gain almost stopped, and I put on more mass.

    Basically, you can go dirty, but it will catch up to you sooner or later. Force-feeding a pound of tuna salad at lunch sucks ass, but it's better than getting fat.

    try supplimenting B12, that helped with my appetite.

    go to costco and get a few boxes of Kirkland Foster Farms Chicken Bakes. they are like a hot pocket but with good ingredients. they are 600 cals apiece and taste awesome

    i just don't understand this problem. for me just staying under 3000 or so requires some serious attention to everything i am eating throughout the day. Under 2500 is that plus i'm fucking starving at all times.

    Breakfast (8:30) is 2 eggs usually scrambled and a banana (this usually fills me up), 10am or so I have 2 cups of oatmeal with some raisins in it. I usually polish off about 64oz of water in the morning as well.

    Lunch (noon) is 2 sandwichs consisting of either ham or roast beef on wheat, an apple, once again this fills me up.

    Snack (3pm) is a piece of fruit, orange, apple, or banana.

    Dinner (6pm) varies from night to night, I'd say at least 3 nights a week it consists of some rice, black beans, chicken breast or some steak.

    If its a night I workout I down a protein shake (consists of 16oz of milk, 2 scoops of protein and a tablespoon of peanut butter) around 7ish (roughly and hour before I go to the gym) and this makes me feel really bloated.

    10pm I have another protein shake and a PB&J sandwich on wheat. Once again I'm feeling pretty bloated from this meal.

    Carbs tend to make you feel bloated.
    Get a handful of nuts at 3 pm, that's pretty caloric and easy to do, and also drop some carbs at night if you feel like shit. I feel fat when talking too much carbs during the day and while going to sleep it's not a good time to feel shitty. Get some cottage cheese there or maybe some plain yogurt with whey or peanut butter on a steak :bigthumb:

    True, one of the reasons I want to get bigger is to be able to eat all day just to maintain :bowdown:

    because you're trying to gain weight and you're eating 2 eggs and a banana? I was eating more than that for breakfast when i was in my last weeks of hardcore cutting and down to absolute minimal calorie intake.
