Can't decide: Samsung i600 or Samsung i700 for Verizon...

    Ok folks, here's my dilemma!

I'm in the market for a new phone when switching over to Verizon in a day or two.

Amazon.com has some amazing deals on these two phones, so I'm thinking I'm going to do it through them.

The i600 flips, and has a keypad, but is almost an inch thick when in a pocket.
The i700 is a PDA before it's a phone, and is entirely onscreen, but is only about half an inch thick in the pocket - so it may be easier to lug around.

I'm not sure what it is I'm looking for. I'm looking for portability and something that won't be terribly outdated while still being able to manage my contacts and appointments. I don't want something huge to lug around, camera's dont interest me, and I like the SD slot idea...

Someone sway me to either one or the other, cause I'm torn...!

    :mamoru:

    Thanks

Yeah, but Amazon.com is offering the i700 for 99 bucks, and I ordered it.

I could live without bluetooth, cause I can always get a SD BT, or even an SD wifi (which I plan!)

But I ordered the i700 already :) The 99 deal ends today...but not bad, down from 749!

Thanks :) It's good to hear that...very comforting!

It arrives on Monday, and I couldn't be more thrilled! Finally, an all in one unit to manage my time, and make the calls I need, while surfing the net at hotspots without having to bring a laptop.

And 99 bucks isn't bad for the unit itself!

I've had the phone for over a week now, and I have to say, it's pretty fucking awesome. It's big, yes, but it does EXACTLY what I need it to do, and the slim battery makes it hardly noticeable in my pocket.

It synced seamlessly with my pc (working on getting it to sync with the mac), plays mp SD mp3's, holds my appointments and organizes my inbox for SMS messages well.

My only complaint, the ringer could be louder, but I can download ringers using the sync, so that's not a problem.

    I love the phone :coold:
