    can this scanner scan a roll of film? or does it just do strips. i was looking at the nikon scanners, but the roll film adapter is like 500 bucks. how could i scan in my slide film to my computer? do i have to get it developed?

    yes, you have to develop it first, have it mounted, then scan. You possibly don't have to mount them, but if you do, its easier to keep them in some kind of order, as you can have your name and date etc printed right on them.

    Think of it like you're scanning a small image. If you are only scanning slides and negs, I'd look into a didicated film scanner, rather than a flatbed.
