I need a wider angle lens.

Currently I have a Tamron 28-75 f/2.8 which is great.. but i want wider.

    looking at
    tokina 12-24
    canon 17-40

which one would you go with.. price doesn't matter to me for those 2.. however i do prefer the "L" glass and the Canon brand.

well there is a BIG difference between how wide 12mm is vs. 17mm. I would advise you to rent both, see how wide you really need. rentglass.com is a good place. I actually have the 17-40 right now :o

my cousin just rented the canon 10-22 from rentglass for his 300D and really liked it.. he's considering trading is 17-40L in for one.
