Lower price rebel? Does that mean fewer features? :run:

    Possibly.

But, what it will mean is normal people seeing a cheap camera, then realizing they can only take 100 shots on a 1GB SD card (or whatever it uses).... and then running out of hard drive space.

  4. How could you have less features than a rebel??

Great, this will increase the number of "professional" photographers.

With HS football season around the corner...

Rebel owner: "So why's your lens so big, how long is the zoom?"
    MKII owner: "400mm 2.8..."
Rebel owner: "Oh, mine is a 14-600, and it's much smaller. Hey do you mind if I shoot over your shoulder?"

I don't own a Rebel, I have Nikons, and we all know Nikons aren't on the sidelines because of their piss poor high ISO quality and 5fps. :mamoru:

the best thing is they finally got rid of the awful rebel AF system for the 20/30/5D focusing system.

It's already out here in Japan. I've got a EOS Digital Rebel.

It's got a smaller screen and had a real "cheap" feel to it. :dunno:
