yeah sorry i meant Nikon... i've been looking at so many cameras lately i'm getting the names confused... and yes that my Jetta. its an '89 GL.

have you heard anything about the D40? its the replacement to the d50, has a smaller body, and has newer/ better features... but thats what the ad says, i want an opinion from someone about it.

I have it and I love it. Its cheap and perfect for when you just want to get started.

ok... i don't want to just get started though, i'm looking for something more professional. The D50 seems to be it but the D40 is replacing the D50 so what gives :dunno:

pro and d40/50 is an oximoron

d40 isn't replacing the d50, its a new model all together to get new customers who were planning on getting a higher end P&S
