I'm trying to piece together some info on using off camera strobes.

I already have a 430EX and I was wondering if I can get another one and use a set of PWs to pop them.

    Anyone have this/a similar setup?

another option are the Radio Poppers
    http://www.radiopopper.com/

    Wireless plus ETTL

I'll eventually go with these if/when I need more range from my infrared set up.

    use cactus triggers

or a long ass sync cable, and enable "master-slave" on the flashes have them go off with the built in IR

Aren't the radio poppers that are currently out the same price as the pocket wizards?

Which ones are "better" in terms of reliability?

Yeah, RP are close in price with the PW. Reliability? Too soon to judge with the RP since they've been on the market a few months.

why not go with cheaper strobes, like the sunpac 383 and PW's? I love mine and they work great.

I've pretty much decided on Vivitar 285HVs. Since the PWs aren't going to allow for TTL operation as it is. I'll just set them up manually :)
