A&P Canon 55-250 f/4-5.6 IS -- Test Shots

    I never really have a need for telephoto so I can't justify spending $1400 for a 70-200 f/2.8 L.. But I did want something that could at least cover the range decently if I ever need it in a pinch and couldn't rent/borrow something nice.. So I figured for $300 why not give this plasticy new EFS lens a shot?

    So far I like it! I mean obviously build quality, focus speed and photo quality aren't as good as some of my nicer lenses, but for $300, I really can't complain, it seems to do exactly what I hoped it would..

    That doesn't look too bad IMO. Better than my cheap ass 70-300.

    Only thing I don't like is the bokeh, kinda funky.

    Works really well..

    Not as good as the IS system in the 70-200 f/2.8L IS, but still really fucking good for the price..

    I did a few test with it on vs. off at 250mm same shutter speed, made a big difference..
