Pros and cons to each? I really just want to know if it's that much of difference to warrant going to the Canon or if the Sigma would be fine :dunno:

There is absolutely no reason to spend the extra on the Canon, IMO. The Sigma 10-20 is great.

I just had the same exact debate and ended up with the canon..

I have read the sigma can be hit or miss in terms of quality.. some copies are way sharper than others.. some have other issues after only a few months..

Also the canon has more range slightly 10-22 obviously.. and also goes down to f/3.5 vs. f/4.5 on the sigma, which is pretty significant..

    Find the 10-22 used FTW.

I'd go with Canon if you can find it cheap

  9. I went with the Sigma 10-20mm...

    I don't need 22mm, 20 is fine.

I only paid $440 for my Sigma, and I find it very sharp.

Would have loved to have gotten the Canon, but too expensive...

I'm hoping to find another person willing to sell theirs for $500 :hs: All the people on craigslist in this area are putting them up for more than I can get them from a local camera shop :hsugh: So when you try to get them to lower the price they agree to $600 :ughd:

My philosophy when it comes to lenses is if you can afford to buy brand name, buy it. If you can't, save until you do.
