I'm going to NZ in May, and wanted to get everything situated for the trip ... so, i started looking up CP filters for my 10-22, figuring i'd be using it quite a bit with the beautiful scenery.

i put my regular B*W CP on there and snapped a few shots at 10mm, assuming i'd see some crazy vignetting ..... but i really didn't.

i was under the impression that even if i wanted to put a UV filter on it, i had to put a slimline filter on.

    anyone had this experience?

    :dunno:

I bought a slim one for my Tokina based on what I read. But whether or not you actually need one, I dunno :o

The amount of vignetting might depend on the amount of light hitting the fitler, for example if youre shooting a sunny day it might increase the visibility of it. I may be wrong :dunno:

You get some spots in the corners pretty bad. I can post up a pic later today on how bad a standard filter vignettes
