Why does it suck shit?? You can upgrade the processor only to a certain point on a laptop. Like my laptop is a 2.0GHz but can handle up to 2.4. Mine is a Dell if you are wondering

The laptop might have that battery saving proggie. Mine is a 1.7 and generally runs between 1.0 ghz to 1.7.

It's running so slow because AMD has that "PowerNOW" (or whatever its called) technology on their laptops. That helps you out in alot of ways you probably havent though of: battery life, noise, and heat. You don't need to be running at 1.7 Ghz to read an email do you? It throttles down when you don't need the power to save battery life, keep the fan(s) spinning slow, and keep things cool.

Anyways, I think the fastest mobile AMD processor is 2400+, I bet you could swap it out, but I'm sure it would throttle down, and your computer may not run perfectly stable with the new CPU in...

What are you doing on your laptop that requires more than 910 MHz?

Simcity4 looks like it has a bunch of 3D graphics, I doubt your processor is the bottleneck (your onboard graphics probably are)
