WEB Can you <?php include> google ads, or do they have to be directly on the page itself?

If your google ads appear in a column which has its content come from a separate php file, is it ok to put the google ad code in that php file, or will that mess up the "searching for relevant keywords" program since it won't actually see the page its loaded on? Or will it be able to see the page ok?

php is run SERVER-SIDE. you have to realize that all the includes (and ALL the php code) is performed before the code is given to the client.

Google takes a while to enable the new ads you create. Their new system sucks how that is done, but it makes it so you can easily change the one ad's colors even if it's on multiple pages, sites, etc.

    • Up to three ad units may be displayed on each page.
    • A maximum of two Google AdSense for search boxes may be placed on a page.
    • Up to three link units may also be placed on each page.
    • Up to three referral units may be displayed on a page, in addition to the ad units, search boxes, and link units specified above.

I'd HIGHLY recommend using includes for all of your adsense needs...much easier to make site wide changes.
