(sorry this was too long to fit into the Title box)

... if she gets pregnant you are not financially responsible?

This would prevent women from saying "oh yeah, I'd have an abortion." *she gets pregnant* "omg I changed my mind!" or "just kidding!"

sure. doesn't mean it will be held up if she contests it.

the ''make her'' aspect seems like one of the critical weak points in the concept.

Well...you can't MAKE anyone sign a contract. But even if she agreed to it, there is no way it would hold up in court.

Although don't you think it is about time it should!!! Really... should you be having sex with some if you haven't discussed the "what ifs"?

I know this useless waste of human protoplasm that has had 2 kids by 2 different guys just to try to trap them into marriage and failing that, she is now sucking out 18 years of pretty good $$$$ in child support. Now the welfare systems will have 2 more "lifers" because she will never teach them any better :rant2:

Replace "make her" with "ask her."

It's like a prenup but for pregnancy instead of marriage.

A woman who really loves you with no ulterior motives would marry you even with a prenup.

A woman who really wants to have sex with you with no ulterior motives would sign such a contract.

If that is the guy's criteria then yes.

Obviously this whole thing only applies to men who don't want kids.

To protect yourself. Same reason you get a prenup.

In a world where a woman can bring a guy to court over a (non-marital) breakup. I can't see why with a good enough lawyer you couldn't get out of a pregnancy with such a contract.

Getting a girl to sign that would be next to impossible I think though.

No, you are responsible for the child no matter what the mother says.

Falconer do you really have these problems? Or are you scared to do anything and just creatively come up with all these random thoughts?

I personally feel if you can't trust her then you shouldn't be in a relationship with her and thus this doesn't work for me.

That's what you think but regardless of how successful the feminist claim their movement has been males still get totally shafted by the US court system.

    I'm serious about the prenup.

But I was just wondering about the pregnancy contract.

it's not her benefit, so how can she waive it ?
You owe the child a certain level of support.

I agree that he owes the child a certain level of support BUT if he didn't want the child (because he didn't want to support it) and she had the child anyways, isn't he free of his obligations ? Its not fair that he has to "pay" for someone else's (his GF) decision.

The point I think people are making is that according to the courts it's 100% the females decision whether or not to have the child but the male is still responsible for supporting it.

Which is a bit unfair, if women want equality they should get it across the board or nothing at all. She wan't the baby but he doesn't? The she gets to raise/support it 100%.

It honestly does make some sense, because right now the woman has 100% say no matter what the guy thinks. Though I can't ever see it changing.

except when you have sex, you are willingly doing something that you know could produce a child. its both his and her decision to perform the act that creates the child.

i know technically men have no choice over if the woman keeps said child or not, but the blame is already equally split over both parties at that point anyway

That soooooooooo wouldn't work, there would be soooo many single mothers (compared to now) not getting any child support if that was the case.

It should be that both parties agree to keep it or else it isn't kept or something.
