Im 24.. And i can only see myself doing a few things in life that i enjoy that i can see myself doing when im 45... Biggest one would be PTing full time. I know im living in the right place to make money in the field, but is this something you can make enough to support a family and retirement etc?.. In general that is.

i can enjoy sales if its something i am passionate about. Around here the clients are definately in surplus. I might just get cert and start doing it on the side to feel it out for a while. At this point its either PT or goto the academy for CHP... but corrections ftl...

You would probably put far mor money into it than you would get otu of it, and besides, I doubt many on here have the dedication or drive to do soemthign like that.

:werd: I know a couple guys who are just working full time until they're 22 or so and plan to apply then and get hired by a local FD or PD (SFPD/SFFD to be specific  ) with the snap of their fingers...

My ass is in school because I know without that I don't stand a chance (I would go to college anyway... I love being a student).

A buddy of mine whos'e an EMT told me that he was told in one of his classes that most people fail the physical test because they cant get a 45lb weight over their shoulders:mamoru:

I think SFPD's test is like an 8 minute mile, 36 pushups (men), ride stationary bicycle at some setting for a few minutes, and pulling a gun trigger 12 times in 25 seconds.

I could have done all of that as skeletor.jpg and I'll sure as hell surpass those expectations by a shitload by the time I apply (a year or two).

Only thing I'm worried about is the oral board and stuff like that... I get really nervous during interviews, and lately I've found out that I blush pretty heavily when I'm nervous :noes:
