drag files to the laptop? if so how?
Yeah that's much simpler and faster than using ethernet!!!!
you;re gonna have to take apart two mice, splice the wires together, and plug them into the PS2 ports.
Then you can copy over the files...
but you gotta know the keystrokes to do it, cause you mouse wont be working...
unless the laptop has a touch pad... then you're in business!
just use floppy disks to transfer files
so like what do i do?
go buy networking cable...then [/yourself] with it since you dont know how to use it
are they hooked up on your local network? or do you have a serial cable? if you have a serial cable windows used to come with a program called direct connection. you can probably install it off the windows cd if you dont already have it installed. its kinda slow though. why dont u just burn a cd wiht the files?
all the word documents, and pictures I can do that. But 10 gigs of music is time consuming...
a.) buy one (1) crossover cable, connect computers, transfer files.
b.) buy a hub, and two (2) patch cables, connect each computer to the hub, transfer files.
I have one of those too, but it's too much of a pain in the ass to mess with generally, so i just use the network unless there's no choice.
how much does a crossover cable cost? it like a usb cable or a ethernet cable or something else?
ethernet cable comes in 2 types - patch(straight) or crossover, in a crossover the wires are "crossed" so u can directally hook 2 computers. just go to staples/officemax/etc and buy a cross over cable if they both have ethernet cards
how do you "drag" files when they are IN the computar?
this one's only $7.99, is there a difference?
There's no difference. 7.99 is a total ripoff. 21.99 is unthinkable and they should be ashamed of themselves.
But either will work.
If you were in austin, i'd just make you one for free
so, color doesn't mean a thing? because Comp USA has like 5 different colors...
from red to purple to blue yellow, etc.
Pick whichever matches your interior decor.
some of the smaller ones are only like 2 bucks at comp usa...
