I'm making a spreadsheet that has weight size etc of all the guns i'm looking at so I can know what the specs are and then go shoot some

help me add to this list

    glock 23
    sprinfield xd service
    hk usp compact

what are the other options - I know brands but I'm not sure what the comperable model is called - what is it in a SIG

I'm looking at .40 that are carryable but not the really small short grip compacts

I like the XD for .40. I shot it next to a Glock and because the XD is slightly heavier, it seemed to have less muzzle flip.

Yeah, cause you can really tell someone what the best gun for them is before they shoot it.

Christ, you're worse than krott for glock sackriding.

At least krott's sackriding is somewhat entertaining.

Almost every Sig is available in .40

The 229 is most comparable to a G23 and a USPc

The SIG I shot was great. Grip felt great, trigger was great. I'd take one.

It's like the DAK sigs. DAO trigger with a lighter pull. Some people love them, some hate em. The biggest complaint I hear is the length of the pull (too long)

i'm sure that makes perfect sense to most - but I have no idea what that means - why is the LEM trigger better for CCW

If I understand it right, it is a heavier trigger pull to combat trigger jerking in adrenaline dump situations.

And M40A1, to second silvia, since they don't make M40s anymore, unfortunately.

Because there is no decocker or anything else to worry about, the Glock trigger, the Sig DAK, HK's LEM, etc. are all very simple trigger systems, you pull out your weapon and pull the trigger without having to worry about any sort of decocker, manual safety to disengage, anything.

Also, there's no hammer spur to snag on anything as well. You can also get the LEM trigger down to around 5# which sounds dreamy.

So what type of safety does the LEM version have?

is it still a DA/SA gun?
