Can you do push-ups, sit-ups, and a variety of others and still gain muscle mass? And also just doing basics with dumbells such as bicep curls and flys? This is because i am unable to get to the wieght rooms very often due to work and i don't have much money to spend on wieghts... Any advice/tips would be great, thnx.

    that's a tricky question

althought gymnasts, for instance, are very "big", it is because they train a good 3+hrs a day. You AREN'T going to be doing that much..so no

Gymnasts are not "big" usually, they are very strong and usually defined, but they are not big like you would be if you lifted heavy weights.

there are bodyweight exercises that can provide a hell of a challenge. Weights are obviously easier to increase resistance with but the point is that your body doesn't discriminate between types of resistance. At a certain point bodyweight will cease to be sufficient to make your body adapt, but I doubt you are close to that point yet.

how do you guys even look up to people like that? They've been training for as long as most people on here have been alive. He is an olympic athlete, so obviously he is dedicated and genetically gifted. Anyone can look like that with a year of lifting @ his height, or you can choose the long route of 10 years doing gymnast/body weight shit
