Can you buff glass??

    I noticed some scratches on the passenger side window of my eclipse. Wondering if its possible to polish out? :confused:

    As far as scratches go, they me difficult to remove.

    You can buff glass but you probably can't remove anything but the very lightest of scratches. However, it will still improve the clarity of the glass.

    Can you use super fine steel wool on it?

    The scratches in the window aren't what I would call fine. If you run your fingers across them, you can distinctly feel them.

    I always wonder about this to as my windshield is very pitted from stone chips

    Then accidentally drop a hammer on it, call your insurance and get the free glass replacement.

    I was wrong. I went to take a closer look today. You can see the scratches somewhat, but when you run your fingers over them you can Barely feel them. Can I still buff the glass to a smooth surface?

    still will have problems, you might be able to dimish them, but doubt you can remove them
