Can you add more RAM to a Macbook Pro without voiding the warranty?

I opened up my MBP earlier just to see how everything is situated, and I noticed a few things:

    1. The hard drive is right under the left palm rest...no wonder that gets so hot. :eek3:
    2. There's only 2 real case fans that I could tell...and they're pretty small too.
    3. Heatpipe design with the case as a giant heatsink =
    4. There's 2 RAM slots, but only 1 is used.

So I'm thinking of buying another 1GB stick off Newegg and throwing it in there for some 2GB goodness. Will Apple void my warranty for doing that? I'd rather not have to pay $175 for a 1GB stick from them when I can get one for $75 from the Egg.

however if your computer is sent in for warranty repair due to crashing etc and it is the 3rd party ram at fault you may be charged :dunno:
