I've reading and hearing some complains here and there about this new full frame Canon camera.

Any one wanna share what they've heard or how legit these problems are?

Any idea if this news has reached Canon? Are they addressing the problem?

Cause on paper, I can't see a better camera for the price even If i had to compare the Nikon bodies.

Yes. Canon's issued a report on this and the banding problem with small raw files. They're working on it.

Buy a 5d MK2, don't worry about the "problems" the only reason you've heard of these problems is the forum fags that love to make a big deal out of little things.

I bet you 95% of the people who have bought the camera without spending all day on internet forums will never notice a problem.

Bottom line, there are some bugs, they'll be worked out, nothing to worry about IMO.

if you like/shoot canon, just get it.

I still don't like the build, menus or the AF but for landscape shots it's a great deal.

I'm not a Canon shooter, but it's a great body. These issues are likely to be resolved quickly, but if you believe these problems are enough to stay away from an otherwise great camera, that's your call.

Apples and oranges on the professional bodies at this point right now. There are things lacking in the 5DMkII and things lacking in the D700.

I use both the 1D MKII and 5D MKI and have no issues with any of the things you list. 5D build is fine. Canon menu is personal preference (I hate Nikon menus). AF is fine for what it is used for. That being said

there's them that love to bitch, and them that make great photos.
bodies will always get better over time, so what, its a fact of life.

Just get something and start shooting. Unless you're one of the non-shooting complainer types.
Lots of those around. Too many really.
