A&P Can storing your camera in case with a magnetic clasp erase the SD card?

    I have a SD780. I am considering buying a case for it similar to the one pictured below. [​IMG] [​IMG]

    Has anyone had problems with memory cards being erased because of the magnet?

    no... Non volatile memory is non volatile. Ain't yo mama's floppy.

    It would take a massive magnetic field to fuck up a decent brand SD or CF card... (think measured in gravitons...)

    like actually causing it to arc / catch fire.. it's not stored the same way as credit card info / hard drives / floppy disks are..

    It would be kind of funny if Canon sold a case with their name on it that was responsible for erasing customer's photos...
