Quality keywords, relevant back links, lots of content, proper use of keywords, back links using your keywords, a back link on a relevant site with a PR4 or 5 is the equivalent of (roughly) 3-400 back links on relevant sites with a PR0 or 1, not too many external links per page(not site wide, but per page), don't put your site on link farms/link dumps, don't try to cheat, because Google is smarter than you.

..... for what type of site?

It's for www.pharmacyavenue.com ... I just started working on SEO for it and have a long ways to go. Although I did do the main page.

Make a blog on the same domain with reviews of each of the products. Just BS the reviews but make sure you use long reviews. Put about one a week and google will start to index them. Google loves blogs.

Building SEO on a blog is going to be a lot easier than building the SEO of that mostly static affiliate website. And with affiliate marketing the end result will be the same. You will probably get more sales from reviews on a blog.

Affiliate sites are hard to get backlinks for unless you pay for them.
