can someone help me make a plan?

    ive done a ton of reading, working out, etc, but i'm getting furstrated.

    quick history: started off fat with no muscle. lost about 40lbs, started working out, got some muscle tone. then i went to law school, couldnt work out on a regular basis, started eating less and doing some mild lifting to maintain my weight.

    so now i'm trying to add size on my upper body, but i have fat to lose around my midsection that i havent been able to really get rid of in like 5 years.

    i'm 24, 6'1'' and currently 171lbs. ive been down to like 168 but the midsection stuff won't go away, and i don't want to lose much more..... i'm studying for the bar right now and i'm concerned about my health if i get too low.

    now i'm back in the gym about an hour a day (except weekends), doing all i have time for - some decent cardio, rowing machine, and some compound core exercises.

    i want to lose the midsection pudge without having to go down The Machinist weight before i start building back up.
    any suggestions?
