My goal is to cut my BF from 22 to like something around 15-16 in three months

I'm currently doing circuits every other day with at least 1 mile or 20 mins of HIIT cardio with each workout

what im doing now is eating breakfast before i head to the gym, my breakfast is somewhat carb heavy and im always feeling pumped before heading to the gym

i've also tried going to the gym on an empty stomach, but that shit leaves me so weak and i feel like my workouts havent been productive whatsoever

My question is, is there really a huge difference (effeciency wise) in working out w/ an empty stomach as opposed to doing it while full? This is also assuming i keep my diet and caloric intake in check throughout the day

i'm a special case because if i have food in my stomach while doing lifts then weird shit happens to my heart from the gas buildup. I normally have a small amount of liquid carbs then a bit of starchy carbs. I've heard slow digesting carbs are the best choice for preworkout meals but I can't do that.
Lifting on a totally empty stomach makes me feel like i'm going to pass out.

lifting on an empty stomach ftl. makes me feel all lethargic

pre-workout (which is usu. about an hour after i wake up) i just chow down on some cereal in a little milk and a protein shake. you're supposed to have some fast carbs and some protein after you wake up anyway to counter the catabolic state your body's gone into while asleep iirc

Oatmeal+protein shake (60g prot) should suffice for an AM workout.

that makes no sense since activation of the sympathetic nervous system halts digestion.

eating on a full stomach could leave u bloated

having something tiny to eat beats not eating anything.

I go to the gym on a empty stomach and get the spins after i go hard for like 30min. where if i ate something im usually alittle better..

do what the other guys said, oatmeal or a good cereal + protein shake.

Ive read that lifting on an empty stomach inscreases the thermogentic effect of the food your going to eat afterwards...

    Sympathetic nervous system

Promotes a "fight or flight" response, corresponds with arousal and energy generation, inhibits digestion:
    • Diverts blood flow away from the gastro-intestinal (GI) tract and skin via vasoconstriction.
    • Blood flow to skeletal muscles, the lung is not only maintained, but enhanced (by as much as 1200%, in the case of skeletal muscles).
    • Dilates bronchioles of the lung, which allows for greater alveolar oxygen exchange.
    • Increases heart rate and the contractility of cardiac cells (myocytes), thereby providing a mechanism for the enhanced blood flow to skeletal muscles.
    • Dilates pupils and relaxes the lens, allowing more light to enter the eye.

Don't go to the gym w/ a full stomach. Don't go to the gym if you're starving.

My preworkout meal consists of a toast or bagel with peanut butter or coconut oil. Went for years working out on an empty stomach.
