whilst I'm waiting for Star Craft II to come out.

The ones I have already is Age of Mythologies, Command and Conquer the First Decade, and Rise of Nations.

Are there any to even recommend?:x:

Dawn of War II had a pretty fun multiplayer for me when I played the beta.

Try out the Dawn of War 2 demo before you decide to buy it... it's not really an RTS in the traditional sense. It wasn't anything like what I expected anyway... no base building, pretty much just navigating a team from RTS perspective. The demo is on Steam, and probably other places for standalone.

I think the demo only gives you the single player, which isn't the whole point of the game. The single player is apparently a lot different from the multiplayer. Play the single player just to get the mechanics down, and then watch some gameplay videos on youtube or something to know how multiplayer matches progress.

Too late but I am really into it I like how you upgrade the individual fire teams and such. What about Company of heroes is that the same or is there a base building mechanic behind this one.
