Or is there certain specifications I need to look for. ECC/Reg vs non ECC/non Reg. Low density/high density?
If someone has a 1gb stick they wanna sell to me, let me know.

Macs are pretty sensitive in terms of RAM, go to Cruical.com and just input what you have and they will find what you are looking for. Don't go cheap on RAM or you will get Kernal Panics.

all they have that they suggest is DDR333, not 400 at all. And they want $111 for 1gb of DDR333, which is quite high from my research.

    111 is pretty reasonable really

  9. DDR400 will cost even more. You can use faster memory in your machine, but it would be a waste of money.

Or, as fast as the motherboard supports (assuming it will even run with a stick faster than it supports).

i might go to best buy and pay them to do it, ill come out about the same as the crucial price, and if something goes wrong, itll be them who looks like a bunch of idiots when the memory is incompatible

My 1.42 came with 256MB PC3200. Upgraded immediately to a spare stick of corsair XMS 2700 512MB which worked perfectly. Currently running corsair value ram 1GB PC3200, which also works perfectly.

The 1GB cost me $79 with $20MIR from fry's BTW.

just FYI, opening your mac mini voids your warranty. only apple authorized shops are allowed to crack open the mac mini
