Sorry if this is a dumb question, but if I bought an unlocked Sidekick II, would I be able to use it with Cingular? Or do you have to have some certain plan with Tmobile or whatever...I really don't know much about it, so any info would help. Thanks.

uh not really, first of all it doesn't have the 800mhz frequency band that much of cingular uses, and i think even the data is different. No luck buddy.

That's not the reason why you can't. - Danger provides all the back-bone for the Sidekick. So if you're not connected to T-Mobile, you're not connected to Danger.

Yes the data is different :o

The sidekick uses a proxy for its web, and like vagabond said, Danger (makers of the sidekick) do all that for Tmobile. Get a treo or a windows mobile based pocket pc phone instead.
