Doesn't seem to be anything in Settings > Sounds, or anywhere else in the settings actually. Anyone know how to turn that shit off?

If you use this you won't get any notification of a new email besides the badge. No sound, and no vibration.

Yeah, I'm not a fucking retard, if that was there I'd turn it off.

In Settings > Sounds, I have:
    Vibrate
    Volume
    Ringtone
    New Text Message
    New Voicemail
    Calendar Alerts
    Lock Sounds
    Keyboard Clicks

    There's no "New Mail" setting.

Notice the rounded bottom, that means it's the end of the line.

What version of the software do you have? I'm running 3.1.2 on my iPhone 3G and my menu is in the following order.

    Vibrate
    Volume
    Ringtone
    New Text Message
    New Voicemail
    New Mail
    Sent Mail
    Calendar Alerts
    Lock Sounds
    Keyboard Clicks

That's weird, what version FW are you running?
Have you tried looking in the Mail settings instead of sound settings?

According to screen shot it looks like it is. Which is probably some more of the fail that jailbreaking puts out. LOL

Maybe it's broken due to your notifier app?

I'm betting if it wasn't jailbroken the option would be there.
