    What are your symptoms?

Usually, above the neck= go work out, below the neck= take the day off. If it's just a stuffy nose sort of thing, you're ok; if you've got a fever/really achy/vomiting, take the day off.

I never really got a straight answer about working out sick. I tend to not go if I'm having body ache pains from a cold/flu

I'd say go, start off light, and see how you feel. If you start to feel worse, just cut it short and go home and don't feel bad about it.

it depends, if you are mentally into it, then do it. if you're not feeling pumped up and would probably half ass it, i would say no.

Fuck no, I don't worry. That's what cleaning machines is for. Plus you're contagious before you get symptoms anyways.

And I really hate this attitude. I'm not going to short myself or my training program for a bunch of people I don't know who have their own germs they spread around. Wash your hands before and after you workout, don't touch your eyes or mouth till you do, and let what happens happen.

Unfortunately there is no absolute answer for you. Do what elfling stated earlier and start a little slow and see how you feel.

There's more germs on the handles of shopping carts than any other surface, some article I just saw today said.

You can't make yourself an island, you're going to run into germs. Eat well, keep your fluids up, take your multi, vitamin C, yadda yadda.

That said- if Extremez had said he was sick as fuck with a productive cough, I'd say stay home. Just a little sniffle/sore throat, whatever.

if I feel something in my entire body then I'll avoid physical exertion.... but like Elfing said, if it's a stuffy nose type thing I think it's ok.

Theres diffrent kinds of germs, if some dude has the flu at my gym and is on the bench next to me hacking all over me he shouldnt be there.

Besides most germs die off rather quickly, but not if the germ is still in the gym with you
