Can I run two external monitors on my powerbook...

    15" rev c w/ 128mb video card

    say i buy dual 17" lcd's, can it hook them up to run off my powerbook with my lid shut?

    not out of the box, but there are PCMCIA cards for macs that will support multiple external monitors. Search on here for it, it was discussed fairly recently and I posted a link to them.

    Although I wouldn't suggest that. The PBs vent their hot air from the vent immediately facing the LCD. When you close the lid and PB is running, then it traps that hot air between the LCD face and the keyboard. I have done it a few times, but Apple warns (and I've had a buddy who's had this happen) that prolonged exposure can cause damage to the LCD. So it's possible, but I wouldn't suggest it.
